The Environmental Room is set up to depict three of the four eco systems in Brazoria County

 

1. Gulf - Bays - Beach

2. Wooded Wetlands

3. Hardwood Forest

 

Each section contain animals specific to that system. Instead of depicting the 4th Eco System ( Prairies and Grasslands), a closed in dark area represents the "Critters of the Night". Here one can use a flashlight and view the animals.

 

The room is filled with all types of specimens that can be viewed as well as, picked up and examined.

 

This room is open for special tours of Elementary School children.
